Jockey Hollow

I have no clue where they came up with this name? But this is where George Washington's soldiers stayed in 1779-1780. We went to the visitor's center, where we watched a video about the troops. It was the troops complaining about how cold it was, and that they had no food. We saw authentic revolutionary outfits. We also climb a huge hill to the soldier's huts, and got to go inside. We saw the old Wick family house, where Mrs. Wick hide a horse in her closet to protect it from being taken by the soldiers. Then, we went on a short walk on Primrose Brook Trail, where the kids played in the brook. We ended our day by driving by Washington's headquarters. This evening a friend of ours is coming to hang out with our family. And I really will load the pictures, soon.
