"Traveler's Rest" and Downtown Nashville

This morning, Monday, we went to a historical home called, "Traveler's Rest". It was nice. The mother of the household was soo... interesting! She was a mother of 8, who watched all children grow to adulthood! That was uncommon back then, they said she used herbs for any illnesses that came along. She had her own herb garden and weaving house. Upstairs of her weaving room was her home school room, which was also very, very neat! She was also VERY good friends with President Jackson's wife, who also is Presbyterian! I think I enjoyed it more than the kids. There was a camp that was on tour, and they asked if we wanted to tag along for FREE! We did of course, hey, it was FREE! I got lots of cool pictures!

After lunch, we went downtown Nashville. We walked over the Cumberland River on the really cool land bridge. Which is huge. Then we walked around town. We went into several stores, window shopping. We didn't buy anything, but we had a lot of fun trying on hats and boots. We also learned about boots, and the many, many different skins they can be made of. It was very interesting, and some of them are very expensive!

We picked up daddy from work, and now we are waiting for the hotel dinner time. Which will be in 15 minutes. They are calling for T-Storms tonight, so we will probably just stay in tonight. More pictures, coming soon!
