Today we decided to beat the heat at the North Carolina Museum of Art. Not the most exciting thing we've done this summer, but interesting. It was a great introduction for 2008-2009 school year, when we will be learning about Ancient Egypt and Egyptian Art.
We plan to revisit the museum when they open their new addition. However, I'm not sure when that will be.
In 2009-2010 school year, the kids will be learning about Ancient Greece. We will have to return again then too, as the Greek and Roman Art was my favorite part of the tour. The pictures are us exploring the Greek and Roman Art Wing of the museum. (Notice how I made the kids walk around the museum... arms behind their backs, as to not touch anything. Worked great!)

This past weekend our family went camping, it was short, but fun. We did a lot of fishing (Grace caught her first fish) and playing on the rocks. We also had a wonderful campfire, we were able to cook veggie dogs over the campfire, make smores, and have family worship around a cracking fire. The next morning, we did more fishing, swimming, hanging out and playing. Then packed up and headed home before a thunderstorm hit. It was a very nice time! Check out our video on You Tube!
Click and watch on High Quality Photos, it looks a lot better!

Today I took the kids to the picture people. They had a Father's Day special. I was able to get a very nice photo of the kids. Probably the last one before #6 arrives. When we got home, I had the kids sit on the front steps and took a few photos with my camera. Elijah had fallen asleep, so I didn't get a cute photo of him . Zoe's bangs are finally growing out, but letting her hair down makes her look so much older. Enjoy the photos!

Spring Sports came to an end this past Saturday. We have been very proud of all three of the kids and how they've improved this past season. They have all enjoyed themselves and made a few friends. (The boy in yellow with Caleb is his best friend Peter, who was obviously on another team.) Way to Go Kids!!!
