Duke Homestead

Yesterday we went to visit historical Duke Homestead. Duke Homestead is the home of Washington Duke, who was the leader in the tobacco industry. The baseball team Durham Bulls were named after Bull Durham Tobacco. We were able to see tobacco growing, and the entire process to cigarettes. Very interesting. Tobacco was once NC main cash crop, changing NC and all of America. Also a side fact, because of all the money the Duke family gave to Trinity College, they change their name to Duke University.
