Is your sauerkraut homemade? I've only attempted to make it once, but it didn't seem to turn out. No one would eat it! I want to get some healthy bacteria into everyone (it will help with our immunity) and will have some cabbage left over from another recipe. I want to give it another go. Kerri
This stuff isn't, but I have made my own. When I made it, we all got a ton of gas after eating it, but everyone loved it! I used canning jars. Just shredded cabbage in my food processor and added salt (I didn't measure, just sprinkled a some salt, then cabbage, salt then cabbage. Then I put the lid on the canning jars and three days later, wonderful kraut! Yummy! And YES healthy bacteria.
