Every fall, our family attempts to get our fall family photo taken. This past year, I won a free photo shoot from Debbi Gerdt Photography and our free shoot was this past Friday night. We met up with Debbi at Falls Park in Greenville, SC and enjoy an evening of smiles. Here is one of the sample photos that I was sent while I await the rest of the photos. Enjoy!
We have a new first for our family. A first broken bone.
Please keep Grace in your prayers as last night she broke her leg. We thought it was just a sprain, but upon going to the Dr. today, the x-ray showed it to be broken. She currently has a temporary leg cast and crutches to get around. Next week she will be seeing the orthopedic surgeon to determine what treatment will be necessary, before getting her permanent cast. Please pray for wisdom for the doctors and for Grace's pain.
We were suppose to go swimming this morning for Zoe's Birthday and Grace was trying to convince me she was well enough to go swimming today, but upon not making it to the van, I took her to the urgent care instead.
Here she is waiting for her temporary cast to dry. They call it a temporary cast, but it's more like a half a cast/splint wrapped with a bandage. They take the white cast stuff wet it and mold it to the back of her leg. Then they wrap it with a bandage to hold it in place. Her leg looks more splinted, but call it temporary cast. They say it helps in case the leg continues to swell, the bandage gives and if necessary can be loosened, but the cast is molded to her leg in the back for stability.
Learning to walk with crutches.
Next week Grace will get her real cast and will be using these for at least 6 weeks.
